Celal Bayar Museum is a national museum in Bursa. The Museum is very beautiful destination in Bursa in terms of culture tourism.
Celal Bayar Museum is located in the boundaries of Gemlik district of Bursa city, in the Marmara Region of Turkey.
Turkey's third President Celal Bayar's birth house, located in Umurbey in the north of Gemlik, which reflects the architectural characteristics of the 19th century, was opened to function as the Celal Bayar Museum on the 26 August 1970.
This house, which is one of the most beautiful examples of Turkish wooden house with three floors, has been reorganized as a memorial museum with original home furnishings and various historical items from the same period.
In the museum, which is in a modern structure, a section about Atatürk was opened.
The museum has a library of over 20,000 books, writings, newspapers, periodicals and photographic collections. This library sheds light on the political history of the 20th century Turkey. There is also a mausoleum built by the Republic of Turkey next to the museum.
